We are Junior League of Williamsport

Our goal is to promote and sustain social change in the Greater Williamsport and Lycoming County. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we give local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the community.

We have been a member of the worldwide organization, Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), since our founding in 1929. While you’re here, we welcome you to learn how to join us, support our work, or get involved.

Our Local Impact

The Junior League of Williamsport (JLW) strives to build a healthier community through prioritized partnerships in food security, mental health and wellness, and literacy. We look to empower women of all ages to become valuable leaders in the community. Our current initiatives:

• CodeRed.Period is a feminine hygiene collection initiative, launched in the fall of 2024, that supplies area middle and high schools with period products to provide comfort and security to young women.
• Kids in the Kitchen teaches local children how to cook easy meals for themselves and their families to combat food insecurities.
• Baby’s First Book launched in the spring of 2025, to promote the importance of literacy and early learning by providing newborns and their families with their very first book to take home from the hospital.

We partner with other Williamsport community organizations through voluntarism to supply our membership with learning opportunities.
